C-TIES,
or the Collaboration
Technology
and Information
Exchange System,
is a messaging and collaboration platform designed to promote
productive e-communities of pre-service and in-service
teachers, students,
and university faculty with
the goal of building standards-based instructional modules that have a
demonstrated positive impact on student learning. The
platform uses Microsoft SharePoint technology to provide electronic
portfolios, document management,
collaboration,
and tight integration with Microsoft Office System
